Description

As the season shifts and children return to school, September invites us to reflect and raise awareness. This month, we honor the memory of 9/11 and recognize Suicide Prevention Month with a powerful session focused on healing, hope, and community support.

We are excited to welcome some amazing speakers for this month’s event. Greg Ellis, former NFL defensive end (Dallas Cowboys & Oakland Raiders), UNC football standout, and filmmaker, will share his personal journey with mental health and insights into his upcoming film project. Christopher Mitchell, Court Coordinator at Cumberland County Veterans Treatment Court (CCVTC), will be discussing how CCVTC supports justice-involved veterans on their path to healing. Carolina Counseling Services staff members Jaime Fitzpatrick, LCMHCS, LCAS, C-DBT, and Ebone Rocker, MA, LCMHCS, Vice President & Owner, will address mental health needs in our community.

This is a conversation you don’t want to miss. Let’s come together to support one another and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
