Financial Readiness for Veterans — Hosted by First Citizens Bank & Veterans Bridge Home
Join us on February 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the VBH Salute to Service Lounge for a hands‑on financial readiness event designed specifically for veterans.
A First Citizens Bank representative will lead a practical 30‑minute class focused on real‑world financial skills you can put to use immediately, including:
Understanding checking & savings accounts
Managing income and expenses
Avoiding overdraft fees & common banking mistakes
Basic budgeting strategies
An introduction to credit and how it impacts housing and long‑term stability
After the class, veterans can receive one‑on‑one support and, if eligible, open a checking or savings account with First Citizens Bank.
VBH’s Care Coordination Team will also be onsite to connect veterans with additional resources such as benefits navigation, housing support, employment services, and referrals to trusted community partners.
This event is all about access, education, and coordinated support — helping veterans build financial stability while addressing broader needs in one place.
