In partnership with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation, VBH's monthly Veteran Volunteer opportunity for March will be at Veterans Park off of Central Avenue in Charlotte.
Brief Description of Volunteer Job: “Spring cleaning” – may include mulching the shelter, painting tables, benches and grills, and whatever else the park needs in preparation for summer.
Tools or special clothing volunteers are requested to bring:
Work Gloves
Wear long sleeves and pants, wear old clothing
Wear closed toe shoes
Bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and a hat
Parking/Meeting location: Enter the Park off Central Avenue – park on the side of the lot closest to the tennis courts. Look for Park & Recreation trucks/equipment!
