VBH, The Independence Fund, and Second Harvest Food Bank are partnering to provide 100 emergency food packages for Veterans in need in the Charlotte area during this COVID crisis. We need volunteers to help provide contactless delivery on May 23rd of both perishable and non-perishable food items.
Volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear masks and gloves, though this is not required. We also ask to bring a cooler to transport perishable items if you have one.
Volunteers need to have a valid driver's license and be willing to pick up packages from Second Harvest Saturday morning and drive to multiple locations in the Charlotte area.
By signing up here you are volunteering to deliver food. There is a separate sign up under events to receive a food package.
