Come help us clean up a neglected cemetery where Veterans and prominent Charlotte community leaders were laid to rest. Many family members have not been able to pay their respect to their loved ones due to the lack of up-keep of the cemetery due to ownership issues.
Park at or near University Park Creative Arts School at 2400 Hildebrand Street, Charlotte, NC 28216
Who: open to all volunteers, no age restrictions however all children must be accompanied/managed by her/his/their own parents/guardians
Attire: close toed shoes, be prepared for the elements/weather that day
What to bring: gloves, safety glasses, grabbers (for picking up garbage), your preferred snacks or drinks and bag lunch (some refreshments may be available on site)
Activities: trash clean up, moving natural debris, headstone care
Weather: rain or shine
